Improvisers have played this for decades, under names like Mind Meld, 1-2-3 Word and Two Bodies, One Mind; there is a card version called Medium. Two people count to three and say a word at the same moment. If the words differ, they become a pair, and both players try to say the one word that connects them. Repeat until you say the same word. Nobody wins alone. The only prize is the moment two minds land on one word.
Claude never hears your word before the beat, and never tells you its other guesses. After each game it writes a few notes on how you connect words, and plays you differently next time.
Played by voice, in Chrome, with a microphone. Speakers are fine. Claude plays on the site's own account; if you were given an access code, enter it once in Settings. You can also use your own Anthropic key there; either stays in this browser. The rules are drawn from ImprovGames, SessionLab, the Applied Improvisation Network and the card game Medium (2019).
